Removing your underarm hair

Lots of us shave our underarms every single day and it gets really old… especially if you are prone to bumps or rashes. (I know I personally can get lots of tiny little ingrown hairs in my arm pits.)

As you know, electrolysis is a process and there are lots of ways to do the underarm hair. But, one technique I learned in school is this process:

1. Client grows out underarm hair for the 7 to 10 days leading up to the first appointment. Everyone is different, but what can work, even if you have a lot of underarm hair. (BTW, this is going to take longer if you are male. This example is what often works for women.)

2. Client arrives for appointment and we will likely take about 1 hour for each underarm and will clear all of the hair for each underarm. (So 2 hours the first time… maybe a little less or a little more.)

3. 12 weeks later, we book another appointment and again, the client does not shave the 7 to 10 days before the second appointment. The second appointment will likely be about 30 minutes per underarm. (So 1 hour the second time.. maybe a little less or a little more.)

4. 12 weeks later, we book the third appointment and again, the client does not shave the last 7 to 10 days before the third appointment. (So this is a 24 week process, but 3 appointments typically.)  For the 3rd clearing, we will likely need about 15 to 20 minutes per underarm to clear any strays.

5. For the most part, this should clear most of the hair. Obviously, we will always have those random hairs that pop up over the years, but these 3 appointment for the 24 weeks should take care of the majority of your underarm hair. This should be right around 5 hours of treatment time. (Caveat: EVERYONE is different and without seeing your underarms, I can not say EXACTLY how long the appointment will take, but this is just one of the ways to do your arm pits.)
